Historic SMR - revisited
We have 15 stalls available for full boarding and space for up to 20 horses in 3 pastures. As boarders of SMR you are automatically a member of the SMRC Saddle Mountain Riding Club. Enjoy benefits of using the outdoor arenas, round pen and indoor riding facilities. We also have lockers and a lounge for our members. We are a family oriented facility and enjoy days when we see the whole family hanging out at the ranch.
We have skilled trainers and instrucotrs available for training your horses or providing lessons for you as well.

Lessons
Our historic Ranch lies 7 miles west of town on highway 40. Renowned over the years as Steamboat's premier equestrian center. The ranch provides the equestrian with every amenity both in summer and winter. With an indoor arena barn and two outdoor arenas, the ranch provides facilities for training and showing opportunities for all disciplines, western or English.
Facilities Available to Boarders:

A 150'X300' outdoor arena with PA system and viewing areas
80'X150' oval sand training area

A M&D metal barn with 6 stalls, hot water wash rack, feed room, 2 tack rooms, and a medicine room
The Indoor
A 96'X150' metal arena barn with a railed 75'X150' indoor arena designed for training and a 20'X40' meter dressage, with a heated wash/grooming bay, locker tack room, 9 stalls and a feed room
The Red Barn
A 5 stall wood barn with breezeway, with a double foaling stall, 2 tack rooms.
Lounge Area
The heated lounge is equipped with sofas, bathroom and flat screen schooling TV for video use.
Trail Riding
Currently, the west 20 acre field is used for trail riding and will be expanded/improved/modified next spring.
Check out the online calendar for year round events and opportunities to hang out with other horse riders. We offer clinics, private lessons, group lessons, kid events and open Club riding in the indoor and outdoor riding arenas.
